This colourway was in my head for a while. The morning my Aunt Gerry had passed, I escaped to the dye room and choose her colours, in her memory. It has been lovely how this colourway, which symbols many facets of her life, is loved by so many. It has been dyed grey with splashes of magenta and rusty reds. This base has nylon in it, giving it extra durability making it ideal for socks, which have high wear and tear.
This DK base has nylon in it making it ideal for socks which, have high wear and tear. I have noticed this base has increased in popularity for larger garments as the nylon gives the garment a bit more wear tolerance.
8ply Fingering Weight
75% Super Wash Merino 25% Nylon
It is best to hand wash gently in warm water, using a neutral non Eucalyptus wool wash. The merino has been treated so it can be cleaned in a washing machine. Put your item into a delicate wash bag, use the wool wash setting and a gentle wool detergent. Eucalyptus based wool wash has been known to strip colour, so over time, it may effect the colour of the yarn.
Dry in the shade and store your knitted/crochet item flat. If you wish to iron your item, have it on the medium setting.
I have done my very best to replicate the colours in the photos. There may be colour variation due to computer screen resolutions.
