‘Squid Ink’ at first, makes you think it is a charcoal black. On closer inspection, you realise it is variegated black with subtle teases of purples, pinks and reds underneath. These under colours give Squid Ink another dimension but also nicely complements yarn with out being heavy or over dominating.
This is a really challenging colourway to hand dye! To do it well and properly, it is a three day process just to dye it. I love it and its effects so it stays!
To receive this skein as a yarn ball, tick – ball my yarn.
Hand wash gently in warm water using a neutral non Eucalyptus base wool wash. Be aware, Eucalyptus base wool wash has been known to strip colour, so over time it can effect the colour of the yarn.
Dry and store your knitted/crochet item flat. If you wish to iron your item, use the medium setting.
I have done my very best to replicate the colours in the photos. There may be colour variation due to computer screen resolutions.
